The comic series Kamandi the last boy on earth explored an incredible amount of stunning locations all over the world in it's short 50+ issue run. Most comic series spend all of the main characters time in one place or one city. Batman in his Gotham city, Superman in his Metropolis both of which are actually supposed to be comic representations of different parts of New York. This has generally been the modus operandi for most comic book heroes. Central City, Cloud City, Smallville, Gotham City, Star City,  Metropolis etcetera... Occasionally you might get someone like the X-Men or the Flash or Superman going to Australia, Paris or some Asian city but for the most part Superheroes are homebodies! Not Kamandi the Last Boy on Earth he is an explorer! 

Jack Kirby takes us for a cool joy ride across most of the planet earth in a rip roaring action adventure story set in the not to distant future where men no longer rule the roost and animals have jumped up the so called evolutionary ladder, And today more than 30 years on from when Jack "King" Kirby penned this opus it seems even more likely with all the genetic tampering that goes on in our world. Couple that with our unusually cavalier attitude towards nuclear power especially in Europe and India. Then one day whammo! It's all on for man and dog! Suddenly in the world of Superman and Lois Lane we have Earth A.D. ( After Disaster )  Join me in total submersion into the world of Kamandi the last boy on Earth. 

... I almost wanted to say Excelsior! ( but Jack would probably not find that very funny) No... Don't you go pinning any cigars to my door.
