The xmen, uncannily
the most amazing team of mutants the comic world has ever seen. through the genesis
years of the original X-Men by jack kirby and stan lee through to the first
re-birth of the almost hidden soon to be cancelled new more dynamic x-men by
neal adams and the boys at marvel comics to chris claremont and len wien and
dave cockrum's all new uncanny XMen. Then along came john byrne and took
everyone for a fantastic whirlwind ride of the most amazing comics and ground
breaking stories the world had ever seen. never before had comics touched on
life and death, love and spirit, the whole of humanity. This was the classicX-Men.
unfortunately all honeymoons must end and now in the twilight years of the x-men
they slowly rotate and try to glean some sunshine from the past but alas all is
not as it was. There popularity has never been higher, the book has never seemed
so sad. As they say all is fair in love and comics and the mighty dollar rules
the Marvel universe. Apocalypse has won, the day is done. today the x-men do not
even resemble there origins. Thank you Stan Lee and Jack Kirby you gave us
a gift that was to last for over 40 years - not bad. mayhap it shall begin anew?
In the end it is up to you! Get back to the stories and away from the image.
