08-May-2004 7:00 eBay has decided to play stupid with my account and for some reason will no longer accept credit card payment, thus stuffing up my account and causing all kinds of havoc. I am sick to the back teeth with eBay but, does anyone have an alternative?? eBay seems to be the only auction site that has a large customer base. I seriously dislike eBay.
Barter Card is now available and I now have listings on the www.bartercard.com.au web site in the auction section and in the classifieds section (eMarketPlace)
CGC is here! Yes, the first shipment of CGC comics has finally arrived and I will be adding a web page detailing what service I can offer and listing the CGC comics that I now have on sale.
19-May-2003 6:23 Finally the new web site host has been chosen and paid for the next 2 years!! The new host is called onedollarhost.net....TA-DA!! If you are reading this then chances are it's on my new upgraded site! Yes, we are going to do the full upgrade and put all the links to the larger .jpg pictures back into the site with a new maximum size of 100k each per picture. Even as I type this the up-load is progressing. It should work out to just under 1GB for the whole site. Well, enough of this for now... more later.... Be seeing you!
19-May-2003 6:23 A new search facility has now been added to the site. If you are looking for an item but you have no idea what section it would be in, then use the new search facility! It is a vast improvement over looking through each page of the table of contents unless you know exactly what you are looking for ( then the old way is still the best. ) For example: If you are looking for any work by Frank Frazetta you would have to look through the comics section, posters & prints section, trading cards section, and the magazine section, even then you might miss an item. Now you can search through the whole of West Coast Comics web site for any mention of Frank Frazetta and the search engine will display the results for you. If on the other hand you are looking for the comic book Uncanny X-Men No.90 then yes, you could type that in to the search engine or just go to the Comic book section and click on X each way will get you to the correct page.
12-Feb-2003 1:58 Hello Everyone! My main web site host provider Sa-Co Internet seem to be having a problem with my www.westcoastcomics.com domain. Which has become the main site for West Coast Comics, the backup site (mirror site) is hosted at Fortune City over a number of free accounts:

The above address is the backup for the main West Coast Comics site. You will have to forgive the pop-up advertisements and slightly intrusive html banners that they add, but they do have one extremely useful quality... They are 100% reliable. I have been using there services for over 3 years now and not once has the site gone down or crashed or just up and disappeared! www.westcoastcomics.com is still functional, and has not crashed. I will post updates here as soon as I can.

11-March-2003 2:03 Well, it seems that Sa-co Internet are dead in the water. Another in the long line of internet companies that have gone bust. "Fair thee well..." For the time being Fortune City shall be our home. It just goes to show you that the amount of money you pay has no bearing on how good the service is. Fortune City has cost us nothing in the 3 plus years that I have been with them when so many other web host providers that I have been with have gone bust that I can no longer even count them all! Fortune city is excellent if only there were less pop-ups!!
11-March-2003 2:09 The web site update has now been completed. I have deleted all links to the old site and have started to FTP upload the new pages. As each site is 100 Mb and the old site was 500+ Mb I have had to divide the full site up over a number of accounts Site1(Main West Coast Comics site), Site2(more stock pages) Site3(auction pictures1-30 & Site Submissions), Site4(auction pictures2) and Site5(auction pictures3). The full large covers gallery has been deleted as it has now become so bloated in size that no sane person would host it, and I am not going to break it up into a zillion small sites. When cheaper hosting becomes available I will re-upload it. If you know of someone cheap, crazy & reliable please let me know.
28-March-2003 9:21 The web site is currently undergoing a massive update of all the links on the site. This is to make sure that every link on the site actually works! Because of such frequent movement from host to host this housework seriously needed to be done. So, hopefully there will soon be no more dead links. One other item worth noting is that Fortune City has recently changed their rules so that now a page on another site can not "use" a picture or file from a Fortune City site, even another Fortune City site can not call up an item from another Fortune City site. Very stupid as far as I can tell, especially if you would like to have pictures on one site and the index on another. I can not see why they have done this, perhaps some people were overusing the site for auctions? Anyhow, again if any one knows of a better host please let me know!
